Aventures Modernes - Aisle Rage

All rights reserved 2005 oOo

I guess there's something a little freaky about working at a Super Walmart.

Maybe one day, you clock in and you realize that you and the lobsters sitting in their tank have more in common than you'd like to admit.

Maybe you start thinking about the meat section. I mean, really thinking about it, and you get a glimpse of your place in the world.

Maybe one day, that blue vest starts realy starts feeling like a prison uniform.

I guess on a day like that, you're not in the mood to smile.

No, on a day like that, you're in the mood to pick up a plastic storage bin that someone didn't put back on the shelf and hurl it at the ground over and over again, screaming "MOTHERFUCKER!!!! MOTHERFUCKER!!!!"

"MOOOOOTHEEEERFUUUUUCKEEEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Once this old guy was done going completely postal in the shelving aisle, he cleaned up his mess and walked off as if nothing had happened.

Interesting.

Is it freaky or just sad. Maybe a little pathetic too. I am not a snob, but Walmart? Those blue vests would make me want to tear my eyes out. All of your posts remind me of movies..why is that. This reminds me of office Space and The Good Girl. "Not enough flair.."

If the bin had at least flashed some pink or something...

my dad was laid off three years ago. He was a photographer. He applied at Walmart because times are desperate. He has a degree in photography and is the most intelligent person I know. You wouldn´t believe the insults people throw at him and also at the people he works with.

these people have families they need to take care of. These people work on their feet for 8 hours a day and get paid less than 6 bucks an hour.

There is so much I could write on this. But I don´t care to insult anyone who is dissing people who work at Walmart. I guess, just be happy that you can be lucky and never have to walk in their shoes...and try to make their life a little easier the next time you go in there.

I just have to say you made me and my friends at work cry laughing when I read them this entry out loud. Mostly because we can relate. . . .customer service is rough.

Yeah Rocko, I'm with you...I mean you never who you're dealing with, why somebody might work a job that some asshole finds demeaning, or what ever. Its just better to respect people, all people, because one day the tables could turn on your ass & you'll wish you could get some respect only your karma has come to get you...
